Grave Scanner emerged from personal moments (myself alone with my camera) spent at Shafer Cemetery in Athens, Ohio. It reflects my practice of blending into different environments, exploring the nature of this sacred space where the visible tombstones symbolize the hidden below-ground realms. The film is a simple narrative, aiming to convey the essence of both seen and unseen elements within the cemetery. In capturing the feeling of being an Other, it introduces a touch of the metaphysical, inviting viewers to connect with the spiritual dimensions of this eerie space.
