Lake Hope, for the Future(2025)

This installation creates a space of in-betweenness, existing in the disjunction between projected image and text. The fragmented writings reflect on ways of being in the future—on hope, loss, memory, and history. The video component, captured on a windy day just before rain, interacts with the scattered text to evoke a sense of movement and free imagination. Together, the images and words gesture toward the gaps between the Farsi language of the text and the landscape of the video recorded in the United States.
